The event is an encouragement to the selfless dedication of the teachers who teach Chinese language subjects in the different schools from the Philippines, including those in the provinces. This year, there were 103 recipients with one teacher having the longest service at 49 years.
Aside from a certificate and token appreciations, the teachers also took home christmas packages provided by Ideal Macaroni as well as raffle prizes donated by all the members of the board of the association. The major prizes were an Acer computer set and 2 Samsung laptops courtesy of Green Cross, Inc.
